My professional journey has been deeply intertwined with my commitment to social justice and equity, particularly in enhancing the well-being and opportunities for indigenous and underserved populations. Throughout my career, I have held pivotal roles that span from a Program Coordinator and Outreach Specialist at the YMCA of Northern Alberta to a Grants Supervisor at the Centre For Intellectual Excellence, and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Lead for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in South Asia. Each position has bolstered my expertise in navigating complex project environments and fostering partnerships that drive meaningful change. At the core of my professional ethos is a profound commitment to restorative justice and the development of sustainable community practices. My significant achievements include leading the establishment of a women’s federation comprising about members at PRADAN, where I also managed livelihood activities and initiated diverse income-generating projects. This role not only honed my leadership skills but also underscored the importance of collaborative approaches and local empowerment in driving developmental success.
