About Joy Adams

An accomplished Leader with over 20 years of progressive experience in leading operational organizations focused on finding the most efficient, cost-saving solutions to meet or exceed operational goals. With a proven record of motivating teams to improve professionally and personally while managing their performance continuously. Adept at influencing key stakeholders while maintaining integrity throughout the group and the organization. As an engineer who transitioned into project management and senior leadership early in my career, I began experiencing headaches and anxiety that impacted my confidence as a senior leader. My best efforts to manage my stress weren’t working. I knew I had to find a new way to be a leader of leaders. I discovered that mindfulness and meditation relieved my stress and allowed me to remain calm even in the most challenging of situations. The difference was so profound that I invested my time to become a trained Mindfulness Facilitator through UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC). And then, I brought what I was learning back to my office. I am a Certified Mindfulness Teacher, Professional (CMT-P) through the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. Today, personally and professionally, creating compassionate, supportive spaces for individuals to heal, feel supported, and gain more confidence is my passion. With 20 years of experience in leadership, combined with 8 years in active meditation, I have developed the ability to help people at every level of the company to embrace their strengths and discover the leader within. As I discovered for myself, the benefits extend beyond the individual to the organization as well.
