About Joy Fitzpatrick

Joy Fitzpatrick is the External Standards Lead and Boeing Designated Expert for The Boeing Company. In that capacity she leads an enterprise team that manages Boeing’s participation in and use of industry standards. Joy serves as the Boeing Representative on the ANSI International Policy Advisory Group, National Policy Group, ISO Council and the Company Member Forum. She is also a member of the Standards Governance Board at AIA, the Standards Steering Committee at AIAA, and the chair of the ISO TC20 Aerospace US Technical Advisory Group. Joy has been appointed to the Corporate Advisory Group. She is a Fellow of SES –The Society for Standards Professionals. Internal to Boeing, Joy is a member of the External Technical Affiliations Integration Board, the Industry Data Standards Steering Committee, the External Standards Contract Team, and the leadership team for the Product Standards Office which is responsible for all standards referenced in Boeing’s product definition. Joy acts as consultant for Executives and Leadership on Boeing’s strategy and policy related to standards. Joy has a Bachelor of Science from Oregon State University and a Master’s in Business Administration. Joy has been with Boeing for 25 years with experience in internal and external standards as well as environmental regulation. She moved to Huntsville, Alabama after 18 years with Boeing in the Seattle, Washington area.
