About Joy Fong

Currently a Client Director with Edelman, I lead integrated corporate and B2B communications for regional and global clients across a wide range of sectors – including energy, industrials, philanthropy, real estate, and food & beverage – often with a sustainability lens.With over a decade of experience, I have shaped strategic communications programmes for several multinational corporations and public sector organisations. I currently oversee Edelman Singapore’s work with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group, having helped establish its Asia Pacific integrated communications function and refresh its global social media strategy – both programmes which I continue to lead today. My past and present portfolio also includes Temasek Trust, Singapore Prison Service, the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, Frasers Property, and Mars Wrigley – spanning brand reputation, media relations, employer branding, and crisis preparedness.My expertise covers the full spectrum of reputation management – from executive positioning and narrative development to social media strategy and digital marketing, media training and crisis support, and internal communications. I bring a strong understanding of cross-channel strategy to deliver measurable impact across platforms.Before joining Edelman, I was with Ruder Finn, where I helped drive media relations and award-winning campaigns for clients such as Prudential, Electrolux, Trafigura, and Food Industry Asia. I began my career at a boutique PR agency, managing media engagement, influencer outreach, and events for consumer brands such as Under Armour, Melissa Shoes and Julie’s.Outside of work, I'm also a cat mom of three who can easily be found at the gym, at a bar, or bingeing K-dramas in my free time.
