About Joy Lomax

Thomas Merton once said that "our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy”. My aim as an employee, colleague, friend and stranger is to live by this motto in my work. I’m a graduate from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where I studied the ins and outs of Experience Industry Management. Our vision as students is to “promote healthy lifestyles, protect memorable places, and facilitate life-enhancing experiences.” I have worked in various fields and positions all with the same motive and drive, to love and serve the individual without question. From guiding youth on whitewater rafting excursions, advocating for those ensnared in human trafficking, and teaching clients with autism how to brush their teeth, I have learned that to make a difference for humanity you must start with the individual. I have a big heart for all things social justice and international development. I find pure fulfillment and joy from serving, leading, and working with others.
