About Joy Manjaly

31 years of experience in Nuclear power project management, Project evaluation, Project coordination, Project planning and monitoring, Project implementation. Currently working as Associate Director in the grade of Scientific Officer- H+, in Light Water Reactors Project Group of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd.(NPCIL). In this role, responsible for leading a team of technocrats for the techno-commercial evaluation and negotiations for NPCIL’s large value light water reactor nuclear projects with imported technology. Prior to joining NPCIL headquarters in Mumbai in 2014, was heading the project management group of NPCIL’s largest project viz. Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (2 x MWe) at Kudankulam, Tirunelveli District in Tamilnadu. Deputed as Head of NPCIL Representation office in Russian Federation (NRRF) at Moscow during 2011-12. Since joining NPCIL in 1990 after successful completion of one year postgraduate course in Nuclear Engineering and Science from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Training School (now Homi Bhabha National Institute) HBNI, held various positions in project planning, project evaluation, project construction and project management for different nuclear power projects of NPCIL. Done Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Govt. Engineering College, Trichur, University of Calicut; Master of Financial Management from K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR), Mumbai, University of Mumbai. Training in Nuclear Systems Technology from IAEA, Training in Project Planning & Monitoring from NITIE, Mumbai. Fellow of Institution of Engineers (FIE) Life member Indian Nuclear Society
