About Joy Mason

Striving for efficiency, excellence, and synergy, I get happily caught up in trying to find a better way to do a process and analyze trends to provide the highest value to stakeholders and clients. Having completed a Peace Corps volunteer stint alongside in Bulgaria, I speak fluent Bulgarian, am certified as an EFL teacher, and raised $2,900 in grants for my Peace Corps service school. I am experienced in corporate, small-business, non-profit, education, and government agency environments. I have held administrative, hospitality, academic, and free-lance positions. Having worked in the USA, abroad, and as a telecommuter, I find I thrive working from an office, interacting face-to-face with colleagues. I am flexible and organized enough to navigate the environment I'm required to work in. I enjoy gathering with colleagues after hours, and am highly energized from daily interaction in the office. Excel and I have a very strong "relationship", and I usually end up being the go-to person for computer and software questions for colleagues in close proximity to my desk. Organized, punctual, and focused, I usually amaze others by completing a project ahead of schedule. I am known for my attention to detail and steep exponential output. Being self-driven and active, I have run a half-marathon, visited 27 countries on five continents, and play three musical instruments. I have also run a small family business, providing micro catering services to local individuals. I greatly value efficiency, integrity and excellence, and I ultimately want to write a good story with my life. I want to make a legacy, not just a living.
