I feel my expertise is in providing organizational support and solutions through proven research and evaluation into a written format which explains alternative options and results. My goal is to prevent a crisis situation before they happen - whether it be production or personnel based. I have been relied on by top executives for this ability to provide support preventing the urgent need for a quick fix and lost time, which is basically the Total Quality Management theory I have followed for many years - planning ahead and preparing alternative solutions - to educate the executive. An area I am most interested in is the communication gap between the IT department and the user/staff. It seems there needs to be an interpreter to explain the problem in a way that it can be understood. While IT departments are so busy with upgrades, updates and research they are unable to resolve the average user error. I know that is why I am relied on by top executives for support and simplified solutions. My technical experience began in 1980 at NCR at the beginning of the computer era. I worked for the Technical Publication Department as Typesetter for the Operation Manual that shipped with the cash registers. I assisted in testing and documenting the results of the programmers'"intended" function and informed System Analysts of errors requiring reprogramming - in BASIC. I am still in contact with many of my former coworkers for research and sharing experiences.
