About Joy Schaefer

I have worked in the entertainment industry for 12 years here in Las Vegas, after earning my BFA in Stage Management from the University of Central Florida. Having worked with Cirque I have learned to work with and understand people of all different walks of life. Knowledge and background allows me to use those relationships to create the best working environment for my team, clients, and employer. Most recently I was employed at Eli Roth's Goretorium, taking my knowledge of theatre and using it to create a rotating schedule for 180 cast members, working with bar owners to make them understand the needs of Las Vegas Entertainers, and working out the glitches of a new company. Over the years I have had the opportunity to learn and successfully run backstage tracks, assist with daily office operations, attend trainings, attend validations, schedule load ins/ outs, schedule performances, meet and greets, and organize all aspects of a production. Having worked in a variety of theatrical venues and having toured in the past has allowed me to adapt to a multitude of situations, becoming a better person and stage manager. Using my theatrical background I was also able to branch out into the special events field working for the NBA, Universal, Disney, and the WWE. A diverse background in life, having traveled domestically and internationally allows me a greater understanding and communication with each area that is needed for a project from top to bottom.
