About Joy Yoon

I’m a content policy and trust & safety professional with 10+ years of experience helping major platforms create safe, inclusive, and thoughtful digital experiences. At places like Disney and Netflix, I’ve worked closely with legal, DEI, product, and content teams to shape and apply policies that protect users while supporting creative vision. My background includes building guidelines around sensitive topics like mental health, cultural representation, and age-appropriate storytelling, especially in kids' media. I’ve translated complex standards into clear, actionable guidance, advised showrunners and execs, and helped teams navigate everything from regulatory compliance to public-facing risk. With roots in education, digital media, and product development, I bring a well-rounded perspective to content integrity and love building systems that make good content safer and smarter.
