Background
About Joyce Bermudez
Hello, my name is Joyce and I teach visual arts for students in pre-kindergarten through 5th grade at Francis T. Evans Elementary School. I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education and am on my way to earning my Master's in Education in English as a Second Language. I have been teaching at the elementary level for the almost nine years, though I am certified to teach K-12. My teaching philosophy is centered around the idea that every student has the potential to succeed, inside and outside of the classroom, with the appropriate support and guidance. I believe in creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment where students can feel comfortable to be themselves and share their creative ideas. When I am not teaching, I am either at home relaxing on the couch with my cat, Coco, or out and about, spending quality time with my family and friends.
