About Joyce Browne
The persisting global inequities in health are the driving force behind my research and professional interests. Within my global health research and teaching activities, I apply my interdisciplinary training in medicine, social epidemiology and clinical epidemiology. My work focusses on health equity, maternal health, planetary health and equitable partnerships in global health - through transdisciplinary collaborations in research, education, capacity strengthening and public engagement. I work as an Associate Professor in Global Health and Epidemiology at the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC Utrecht, In addition, I contribute to the deployment of the Global Engagement strategy of Utrecht University through a secondment to the Utrecht Center for Global Challenges. My societal activities include the chairpersonship of the board of the Dutch Knowledge Center Global Health
