About Joyce Chiu

My practice is grounded in providing compassionate person-centered care where clients can feel respected, valued, and safe. I aim to address the inequality, exclusion, and marginalization caused by systems of oppression and challenge what is possible. In my current role, I support children, youth, and their families seeking services to ensure a continuity of care. Throughout my previous roles, I developed skills to work collaboratively with clients to address complex needs, such as mental health challenges, low income, housing stability, food insecurity, and precarious employment. My roles in community allowed me to work with hard-to-reach folks through creative and persistent outreach, while supporting informed decision-making.
