About Joyce Irwin

Joyce Irwin is President and CEO of Community Health Network Foundation and an executive committee member of Community Health Network, a $3.3 billion non-profit health system with 200+ sites of care and employees. She has also served for 30+ years on boards of directors of healthcare, workforce development, public policy, education, and arts organizations. Employing a strategy of “evolution not revolution” as one of her key strengths, Joyce has transformed and restructured multiple boards of directors, driving strategic direction, elevating corporate governance, and achieving buy-in among incumbent and incoming board members. She is also versed in achieving double-digit growth through high-performance team leadership and has achieved 15.7% year-over-year revenue growth for the Foundation during her 12+ year tenure as CEO. At Community Health Network, Joyce previously was VP of Operations, Oncology, leading and increasing engagement among a team of 40+ business leaders. Prior to that, she held senior executive and consulting roles at Roche Diagnostics, Eli Lilly, and other organizations. Highlights of Joyce’s considerable executive-level achievements include securing $100M+ in state government contracts, successfully advocating for regulation changes in 15 states, overseeing revenue of $700M+ and a product portfolio of $350M, managing an annual operating budget of $100M and marketing budget of $10M, increasing oncology product sales by $175M, leading a total staff of up to 600 employees, and holding primary responsibility for a $3.6 billion Department of Defense healthcare contract in a nine-state region. Joyce holds an M.S. and a B.S. from Indiana University and was certified as a Professional Mediator.
