My resume is enclosed for your consideration. I am interested in early intervention teaching opportunities in New York City. My credentials include a Master’s degree in special education, a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and twenty years of experience as a paraprofessional at the New York City Department of Education. This resume will highlight my commitment to children, display my experience in differentiation instruction, and demonstrate my communication and leadership skills. Being a highly adaptable and versatile educator, I have enjoyed the opportunity to teach a diverse group of students including those with Autism, speech impairment, non-compliant behaviors, developmental disabilities and physical challenges. These experiences have helped me become a well rounded and compassionate individual, who takes each student’s unique goals, needs and interest into account at create effective lesson plans and age appropriate learning activities to meet the needs of my students. My greatest capabilities are facilitating all styles of learning and ensuring positive collaboration between home, various learning environments and parents. I use multi-sensory teaching techniques, strategies and materials to accommodate students who are visual, tactile and kinesthetic learners via various forms of technology learning opportunities, manipulative, and themes to help my students learn new materials with immediate feedback to encourage learning.
