20+ years of experience in financial and professional services and subsequently changed to the hospitality sector working as General Counsel for Vermaat assisting with its buy and build strategy, especially with Vermaat's international expansion plans. I have always worked in an international, cross-functional environment and am in my element in situations that need resourceful and action-oriented leadership. I pride myself in my capacity to learn new things, problem-solving attitude and goal-oriented competencies. I have built and led small and large multi-cultural teams of professionals across the globe in steady state and through change processes. These teams are dedicated to maintaining and optimizing high quality, effective and efficient standards, in complex, regulated and fast changing environments. Because of my experience and personality, I have acquired strong leadership skills to support businesses delivering and improving their results through supporting their strategy with a thoughtful and calculated approach to risk, especially in M&A (buy and build) and/or refinancing situations (private equity owned businesses).
