About Joyce Zanfagna

I have developed a 20-year second career as an IT information manager/writer, since leaving my social sciences professorship with the State University of New York higher education system. A master’s degree from Columbia University in Human Factors has served me well in working with a broad range of technology users. Global Solutions-87, Inc, has been contracted by major corporations: IBM Global Services, Dun & Bradstreet, Ernst & Young, Lucent Technologies, Bell South, Allegiance Healthcare, Thomson Course Technology and Equifax to manage business process and documentation, often in the SDLC environment and involving legacy/mainframe conversions. Documentation has included process and information mapping, business/system requirements, use case development, online help, instructional design, highly technical operational/user manuals, QA testing, and Microsoft software training/certification courseware. I follow “write once” principles and iterative models for instructional design and know all writing style protocols as well as documentation standards and ISO specs. I have worked with IBM, SAP and JDEdwards enterprise software and know Visio, Access. VBA, SQL, and XML. I am familiar with CMMI, RUP, Six Sigma, ITIL, and SOX compliance methodologies, using JAD sessions and use case construction to identify role-based job content. I keep up with killer apps such as Linux, XML Schema, Ajax; Windows Vista; Microsoft Internet Information Services; SOA; Web Services; IBM Websphere products; CRM; RFID; WiFi; VOIP; Blade/Grid; Cloud Computing and Extreme Programming concepts through preparing SDK, API, white paper, website, presentation, specification and marketing documentation. I prefer a telecommuting opportunity, working from my own state-of-the-art office, traveling only for required meetings.
