About Joycelyn Otchere

I am Joycelyn Otchere, a Data Analyst and AI product Co-Founder. I analyse data, tell stories with it, solve problems through it, and help others to do the same. I’m also building an AI product that helps retail shop owners build websites in 5 minutes. In my final year of university, I conducted a research study using SPSS and Excel to examine how AI was transforming the accounting profession in Ghana, an early indicator of my curiosity about how emerging tech reshapes industries. While working as a laboratory administrator, I uncovered insights during a six-month reagent shortage that helped hospital leadership increase monthly revenue by 66% and improve lab efficiency by 40%. As a Training Programs Lead at OQD’s Women-in-Tech Data Analytics Internship, I’ve trained over 80 women across six countries (Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the UK) in foundations of data analytics. Through this work, I have helped final-year students and recent graduates transition confidently into data careers, with an 85% satisfaction rate based on learner feedback. My technical toolkit includes Power BI, SQL, Excel and Power Query. My work has been recognized globally, from winning the Maven Analytics Spotify Challenge (Fan Favourite) to being named one of Ghana’s Female Tech Trailblazers. I also placed Top 2 Overall and was named Best Female Participant at the Open Data Bank Galamsey Hackathon, where my environmental data visualization earned national acclaim. I bring a multidisciplinary perspective, a strong problem-solving mindset, and a belief that data, when used right, can drive change in business, in society, and in individual lives. Let's Connect!
