About Joydeep Mukherjee

I am a fully dedicated cancer researcher having expertise in different areas ranging from immunology and immunotherapy of brain tumor (Graduate work) followed by investigating intra-tumoral heterogeneity of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), the most aggressive and common adult CNS tumor (Post-Doctoral work). Both immunology and Intratumoral heterogeneity merge towards an interesting area i.e. tumor microenvironment research where different cellular phenomena such as immune system, angiogenesis and metabolism interplay with physical factors of that tumor niche such as hypoxia, less nutrient and other cellular stresses. During this period, I acquired knowledge of a variety of high-throughput technology platforms, a very critical component of which is the proper bioinformatics analysis of the large body of data. The technical training in conjunction with a strong biological and clinical background in oncology gave me an excellent foundation to become a contributor in the field of oncology research.
