Currently I am a Graduate Research Assistant at Michigan State University, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology department under Dr. Christina Chan.My area of study at present is related to epigenetics and its effects on neurobiology related problems.It is being funded by NIH.During my undergraduate course, I have pursued multiple projects and have kept on acquiring requisite knowledge and skills through classroom as well as extensive practical training.Among the projects I undertook, I was most enthralled by the work I did on characterisation ofVibrio parahaemolyticus strain RIMD2210633 putative histone deacetylases.In my third semester (June 2015) and fourth semester (May-June 2016) I had the good opportunity to do my summer training under Dr. Partha Roy, Head of the Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, India. I worked on Analysis of various natural products for their anti-cancer properties on human endocrinological based studies. From a period of two years ranging from my 5th semester to my 7th semester (2015-2016), I had been a research trainee at Neurobiology Laboratory, under Dr. Arttatrana Pal, presently in Mahatma Gandhi Central University, India on the topic ofProtein Analysis by Western Blotting for Diabetes Neuropathy.I had done a summer internship in June 2017 atKrish Biotech Private Limited, which a R&D organization, on In Vivo assay using GLP procedures upon mice, rat and guinea pigs for drug dosage orally or dermally.I presented a poster in the 83rd Annual Meeting of Society of Biological Chemists (India) on the themePlastic: A New Source of Petroleum in 2014.I presented another poster in a conference organized by Molecular Pathology Association of India,(2017) on the theme Sulphoraphene, A Useful Agent in Causing Apoptosis in Adipocytes under the guidance of Dr. Rahul Modak.
