I am a first-generation college student at Arizona State University, pursuing a B.S. in Media Arts & Sciences with a concentration in Design and a minor in Business. I currently balance a full-time role as a Visual Merchandising Lead at Target with my academic studies, where I apply both creative and strategic thinking to real-world retail environments. In my role, I lead visual merchandising initiatives that elevate the in-store experience and drive sales. From executing seasonal displays and floor layouts to managing promotional signage and pricing accuracy, I bring a designer’s eye and a business mindset to every project. My experience spans over three years in retail, with a focus on apparel, guest engagement, and product presentation. This role not only complements my studies but also provides a comprehensive understanding of how theoretical concepts in design and business are applied in real-world settings. Fluent in English and Spanish, I thrive in fast-paced, diverse environments and enjoy collaborating with teams to solve problems creatively and efficiently. My coursework in design and media gives me a strong foundation in visual communication, digital tools, and user experience—skills I actively apply to enhance store storytelling and brand consistency.
