About Jude Blouin

As a recent graduate from Tulane University in biomedical engineering, I’m passionate about medical technology and turning engineering ideas into real solutions for patients. This July, I’ll be joining Johnson & Johnson as an Engineering and Property Services Co-Op, where I’m excited to contribute to impactful work in healthcare operations and infrastructure. At Tulane, I combined hands-on design with clinical and research experience. As an Orthotic Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Ochsner Health, I designed and 3D printed custom orthotics, optimized CAD workflows, and collaborated with podiatrists to improve patient outcomes. I also conducted research on lithium-ion batteries, pioneering intercalation techniques to enhance performance. For my senior capstone, I designed a biopsy needle to improve lung tissue sampling during endobronchial ultrasound. Outside of academics, I served as Treasurer for both Theta Tau and the National Society of Black Engineers. I’m eager to bring my engineering background, curiosity, and collaborative mindset to teams shaping the future of healthcare.
