About Jude Cook
Before I began work on ShareIn in 2011, I helped start-ups with business plans, financial models and business strategy. I started out studying General Engineering at Durham University and specialised in fluid mechanics. I then went on to train and qualify as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte's in London. Clients included Procter & Gamble and United Parcel Service. I spent almost 6 years in BT plc. in various strategic planning and corporate finance roles. Whilst at BT I was interested in Corporate Treasury and obtained my Association of Corporate Treasury (AMCT) exams in 2002. At BT I was responsible for briefing the Main Board on the Capital and Investment plans which totalled £4bn p.a. I was heavily involved in the implementation of a Value Based Management (VBM) model for strategic planning. My experience with start-ups infused my passion for innovative companies and sowed the seed for ShareIn. I am a passionate advocate of crowdfunding and am one of the founding members of the UK Crowdfunding Association.
