About Judith Amattah

For as long as I could remember, I knew that getting into the health field was always going to be a part of my life's journey. I remember digging through my mother's medical textbooks and reading about all the different pathologies laid out in the text (major NERD alert!). When going through school, it was always the health and biology courses that I was most interested in and had the most passion towards. I have graduated from the BSN program at Samuel Merritt University and passed my NCLEX exam. I am working as an ICU nurse at a Level 1 Trauma center in Oakland, CA. I hope to advance in the critical care nursing field in order to widen my scope so that I can better promote the importance of physical and mental wellness and provide resources to those experiencing difficulty in obtaining and maintaining a healthy physical and mental state. I hope to gain a position in the ED or ICU as I have always enjoyed working in critical care. When I am not providing quality care for others, I am working out (I am a self-proclaimed fitness junkie), creating dance routines, practicing my Spanish and ASL, attending fun concerts and spending quality time with my family.
