About Judith Evers
I am a lecturer/assistant professor at UCD School of Veterinary Medicine. In this role I am going to further my research on deep brain stimulation. Previously, as a postdoctoral researcher in the Neuromuscular Systems Lab at UCD School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, I worked on directional deep brain stimulation leads in a Boston Scientific and SfI Insight Centre co-funded project, closed-loop deep brain stimulation in rodents and the electrode-tissue interface of chronically implanted cerebral electrodes with the SfI CURAM Centre for medical device development. I completed my PhD in tranlational medicine at UCD School of Medicine on sacral neuromodulation and extended my stay there for an Medtronic funded project on chronic sacral neuromodulation in rodent. I studied Veterinary Medicine at Leipzig University and worked at Troytown Equine Hospital for 2 years before moving into academia.
