About Juergen Mark

Throughout my professional career, I have specialized as a disputes lawyer. I have advised and represented clients from various industries before courts and arbitral tribunals in numerous disputes and have also served as arbitrator in ICC, DIS and ad hoc arbitration proceedings. My work has encompassed a wide range of disputes, including Post M&A disputes, disputes related to complex construction projects (such as power plants, offshore wind farms, chemical plants), and disputes concerning license and distribution agreements, patents and employee inventions. I began my career in the Frankfurt office of Baker McKenzie and was one of the "founding partners" of the Firm's Dusseldorf office in Over the years, I have held several leadership roles within the firm, including membership in the Firm's European Disputes Group steering committee, its Professional Responsibility and Practice Committee, its Policy Committee and in the German Partner Committee. I have co-authored the German chapter of the Baker McKenzie International Arbitration Yearbook since its first edition in 2008. Additionally, I serve as the editor of Global Litigation News, Baker McKenzie's blog on international litigation. I was honored with the Client Choice Award for litigation. Clients praised my ability to combine high-end legal and business acumen with a hands-on attitude committed to their needs and commended my skill in explaining complex cases comprehensibly to arbitral tribunals.
