About be. A place for people in motion. Attempting to capture the essence of be. with words is a bit like trying to describe the flavor and sensation of chocolate ice cream before you’ve actually experienced ice cream for yourself. Any verbal description is going to fall short of the actual experience. We are confident that your experience​ of be. will be far more illuminating than any description that we can provide here. However, in the interim, we will use words - insufficient as they may be - to describe what we hope you will experience if you come to call be. “home.” be. is a space ready to hold you with ​kindness and compassion​ while you experiment with how you wish to be, or “show up,” for yourself and others. It’s a space designed to help you cultivate a practice​ that can lead to enhanced ​self-awareness​ and capacity for moment-to-moment, ​intentional choice​. be. is a space dedicated to helping you move toward deeper connection​ with yourself and with others. be. is about people ​being​ with people. Warm, ​authentic​ people who are dedicated to their own personal ​being​ practice (people who know and understand the challenge of attempting to “be” in a culture that reveres “doing”). Acknowledging that we all want to ​feel better, faster​, we are dedicated to offering ​evidence-based therapies ​that have been shown to be effective (more about this on the investment page). We are equally dedicated to ​caring​ for you​ as you discover what ​being​ means to you. At be, we believe that “what we know matters, but ​who we are​ [and ​how we treat one another​] matters more” (in the words of our beloved Brene Brown). But all of this is just words on a page; our attempt to describe an ​experience​ through shared language. If you decide to visit be, we are confident that you will feel the difference.
