About Julia Argentieri

Illinois and federal employment laws are constantly changing, and my role is to help my clients stay on top of those developments, guide them to make the best decisions based on those laws, and aggressively advocate in court when employees raise complaints. As a former in-house attorney, I understand how businesses make decisions, and I enjoy offering practical advice to companies to help them assess risk and find the best solution to employee-related problems. I partner with companies to help them navigate workplace and employee challenges including both counseling and litigation in areas such as: discrimination, harassment, leave management and accommodations, restrictive covenants, and wage laws. I conduct workplace trainings, investigations, draft policies and offer guidance on managing employee discipline. As a member of our firm's restrictive covenant practice group, I have significant experience counseling clients on how to effectively structure non-compete and non-solicitation agreements and have litigated cases both to enforce or defend such litigation throughout the country. When litigation is necessary, I love to be in the courtroom defending my clients toward a successful outcome. I have significant experience defending companies through all phases of the process up to and including trial victories. I am a member of the trial bar in federal court and have argued successfully before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. I am also the pro bono chair of my office and lead our summer clerk hiring and program. I am truly fortunate to have a legal practice that is fun and fascinating while being surrounded by a great team of colleagues and clients, and my passion for the work shines through in the dedication and results.
