About Julia Barth

As a communications major at the University of Connecticut, I have discovered my love of public relations and event planning and found that I am adept in interpersonal communication. Through my communications courses and experiences of holding board positions in various clubs on campus, I have honed social, communication, and leadership skills which I can contribute to the public affairs field. I am eager to contribute my enthusiasm and up-to-date skills wherever I can. I align closely with most firms' focus on creativity and diligence when it comes to media relations and event planning. Some of my qualifications include: Interest In Communication Sciences: communication major, held executive board positions in various organizations. Strong Leadership skills: lead a team of employees as an assistant manager of a retail store, organized an on campus group with events, scheduling, etc. Creativity: Utilized computer programs to design a mock research survey for a communications course.
