Passionate about environmental issues, my areas of interest are many, including ecology, water/wastewater treatment, health and safety, and site remediation etc. Experiences: Learned outdoor survival skills (including winter survival), leadership skills, and ability to identify native plant and animal species of Ontario through Cambrian College. Experience with wildlife management through the Highway 69 Animal/Vehicle Collision Project: Locate animal signs and track them along highways and through bush. Report any large animal/vehicle collisions and update data sets on Excel. Use of GPS unit. Experienced in tree planting with the Eshkawkogan Timber Co. in 2002. Grew up on a farm with many responsibilities in the care of animals, hauling and stacking fire wood and hay bails, planting crops, and training horses etc, etc. Ability to work in high pressure environments. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Maintain a good driving record. Knowledge of field sampling techniques. Ability to work independently or within a team environment. Experience with Microsoft and excel. Honest, friendly, loyal. Excellent work ethic, motivated, responsible, ambitious. Physically fit, health conscious. Love being outdoors and participating in activities such as hiking, camping, kayaking, horse riding, gardening, fishing, and skiing etc.
