As a Data Protection and Privacy Advisor at Virgin Media O2, I have been applying my CILEX and CIPP/E credentials to ensure the company's compliance with the relevant laws and regulations, as well as to protect the privacy rights and interests of our customers and stakeholders. I have been working in this role for over six years, building on my previous experience as a Litigation Paralegal for 17.5 years at the same company. My core competencies include conducting privacy impact assessments, investigating and responding to ICO and customer complaints, providing appropriate advice and support across the business, developing and implementing company-wide training, and undertaking activities to raise awareness of data protection. I am also skilled at communication, court proceedings, and court cases, as I have successfully defended consumer claims in small claims courts. I am passionate about privacy and data protection, and I aim to deliver a commercial and common-sense approach, while working with stakeholders at all levels and training and supporting junior members of the team.
