About Julia Coyle

Julia Coyle is an Environmental Scientist for Adams Environmental, Inc.(AEI). A Western Pennsylvania native, she graduated with Honors from Kent State University in May of 2023 with her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, and moved to the San Antonio area the following July. During her time at Kent State, she utilized the many R1 undergraduate research programs, working for a soil biogeochemistry lab analyzing peat-moss wetland soil of the Arctic Circle permafrost region. Her experience with soil analysis and processing includes Ion Chromatography (IC), Inductively-Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP), and SKALAR analytic processes.In addition to her undergraduate laboratory position, Ms. Coyle also participated in a field research program in the Timbavati region of South Africa. While there, her experience included the collection of field plot soil samples, tree and plant identification, navigation in the remote bush using GPS and maps, and analysis via SOLVITA microbial respiration analysis kits.Currently, Julia is supporting AEI’s staff with the data collection and reporting tasks associated with tree surveys, stream delineations, environmental constraints analyses and reviews, preliminary jurisdictional determinations, and other technical writing. She has both assisted and led in over 100 tree surveys for South Texas’ CPS Energy, which include both field and desktop GIS usage. Her love for the environment and being in nature is what has driven her into a career in the natural sciences.
