I am a person of quotes - I love them. These two are one of my favorites: “I AM NOT IMPRESSED BY MONEY, SOCIAL STATUS, OR JOB TITLES. I AM IMPRESSED BY THE WAY SOMEONE TREATS OTHER HUMAN BEINGS.” “THE SMILE ON MY FACE DOES NOT MEAN MY LIFE IS PERFECT. IT MEANS THAT DESPITE OF MY CHALLENGES, I CHOOSE TO FOCUS ON MY BLESSINGS.” Simple principles that give me strength to go through difficulties and give the direction to face other people with respect. I also believe that these principles also give me strength to focus on making this life better for all of us. I want every person to feel fine, enjoy this life and feel happy at work. I have always been a profound and critical thinker and trying to understand the root causes of problems. All my working life I have been kind of fighter and I have been ready to defend myself and others. I am also ready to work hard in order to succeed in these. Sometimes I've fallen but I always get back up. I am not afraid to open my mouth and bring the difficult issues into discussion. I believe my excellent communication and interaction skills plus my systematic way of working helps me reach the goals and influence on people in a gentle way. But nothing happens without knowledge. For years I have been one of the main customers of the library – reading, reading and reading. Trying to understand what is behind the success of the organizations. Now, as a full-time occupational safety and health representative, I can utilize that knowledge in practice. One of Helsinki's strategic priorities is that Helsinki as an employer is attractive to employees and the city of Helsinki has great emphasizing for implementing a good personnel policy. At the same time, the aim is to increase productivity and competitiveness. I love to think how to combine these aims! Many things are very well in our division but there is still some way to go to reach the aims. I am grateful that I have such wonderfully enthusiastic colleagues with whom it is great to brainstorm and implement ideas. In addition, the management of our division supports our occupational safety and health activities openly, for example by participating in our funny Tilatohtori-videos where we guide how to use our multi-office spaces in a smooth and efficient way.
