About Julia Doerr

I completed my first Bachelors degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology at CSU, Northridge. During this time I worked part-time as a Pharmacy Technician for Target Pharmacy - then CVS following the merger, and completed a month long internship at the Curie Oncology Institute in Warsaw, Poland. Once I completed my degree, I moved to Germany for my higher education. At the TU Kaiserslautern I first completed a second Bachelors degree in Molecular and cellular biology, then moved on to do my Masters in the same field. To gain further experience, I did my thesis at the affiliated Universitätsklinikum des Saarlandes in Homburg, Germany. Currently, I am a PhD student in Prof. Dr. Rehli's Group where I am working in epigenetics and chromatin biology, utilize NGS-based approaches, and subsequently bioinformatics to analyze NGS data.
