About Julia Fiander

I’m a passionate Media Specialist at Fruehauf with a strong creative eye and hands-on experience across photography, videography, content creation, and social media management. Before stepping into my full-time role, I spent four years as a freelance photographer and videographer, where I honed my ability to tell stories through visuals and worked on diverse projects ranging from events to sports and nature photography — and I’m always open to new and exciting opportunities.During college, I had the privilege of collaborating with major organizations such as BBC and Tassomai, experiences that helped shape my professional direction and attention to detail. I graduated with top marks in a Level 3 Extended National Diploma, and my curiosity for storytelling led me to complete a Diploma in Journalism through Alison, broadening my skills in writing, communication, and content strategy. At Fruehauf, I now oversee social media, photography, videography, drone operation, event planning, graphic design, and written communications, including news articles and blog posts — gaining invaluable, real-world experience straight out of college.Beyond my professional role, I continue to pursue photography as a creative outlet. I regularly share my work on Unsplash, where my images have been featured in numerous articles by major brands and publications. I’m proud to be among the top 10% of contributors worldwide, with over 11 million views and nearly downloads of my photos.I’m currently self-teaching motion graphics to enhance my video storytelling and diversifying my photography skills through sports, events, and nature projects.Born in South Africa, I have a deep love for the outdoors, wildlife, hiking, and travel — passions that continually inspire my visual storytelling and creative perspective.Always open to new collaborations, creative challenges, and opportunities to tell stories through the lens.
