About Julia Gobes

I believe that stories, since the beginning of time, have had a phenomenal impact on how humans see and change the world. I wish to begin contributing words of my own that will spark positive impact just as other authors, publishers, and those involved in the creative arts have done for my own growth. I am currently a full time student and am employed in both service and communications/media industries. Currently, I am a Marketing Intern at Authentic8. I also have previously worked as a contributing writer on the Oracle Staff at Adelphi University; this opportunity has allowed for me to deeply strengthen my writing and verbal skills, as well as develop confidence when it comes to researching and producing engaging and culturally relevant articles. I am a proud recipient of the Donald Everett Axinn Award for Creative Writing in Poetry 2021, sponsored by Adelphi University. Over the years writing has become my favorite way to express myself and at each chance I get I submit my writing into contests and participate in creative workshops.
