About Julia Hilton

Major Gifts Officer with nearly nine years of experience advancing complex fundraising priorities across higher education, healthcare, and mission-driven organizations.Currently at Boston University, I manage a major gifts portfolio in the Northeast, partnering with high-capacity donors to secure endowed and expendable support for scholarships and university-wide initiatives. I was promoted into major gifts after securing $1M+ in commitments, and I continue to drive results through strategic cultivation, disciplined portfolio management, and increased donor engagement.Earlier roles include closing six- and seven-figure gifts, advising volunteer leadership on $1M+ campaign initiatives, and designing scalable engagement strategies that strengthened donor pipelines and long-term stewardship. Across positions, I have worked closely with senior leaders and boards to align donor interests with institutional priorities.I am motivated by relationship-driven philanthropy, thoughtful stewardship, and advancing initiatives that require long-term vision and trust.
