About Julia Honoroff

I am an interdisciplinary and mixed methods researcher specializing in social policy, human development, and economic mobility. My research focuses on how policies impact low-income families, particularly in areas related to child care and the U.S. social safety net. Mixed-methods research informs the foundation of my dissertation and future work. Specifically, I am well-versed in a range methods, including in-depth interviews, randomized controlled trials (RCTs), and quasi-experimental designs, to explore critical social policy questions. I care deeply about the communities who are affected by these policy questions, and am passionate about using rigorous methods and frameworks that accurately and effectively represent their experiences. I seek out work that values collaborative relationships between research institutions, practitioners, and communities. I will be graduating from Northwestern in June, and am looking for opportunities! I am based in Brooklyn, and am particularly interested in opportunities in the tristate area. Feel free to connect.
