About Julia Huttunen

Hi there! My professional background blends insolvency law, banking & finance, and the diverse responsibilities involved in the day-to-day operations of a finance company. During my studies, I also explored areas such as intellectual property rights (IPR), privacy, and GDPR, along with EU initiatives like the Green Deal and the EU Big 5. 🫆 Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, trail running, motorcycling, gardening, and knitting—yep, quite the combo, I know! On holidays, you’ll find me trekking through the national parks of Finland or northern Norway, and in winter, chasing powder on a snowboard. Currently, I work as a Legal Counsel for Nordea Finance, supporting two of our business lines with everything from contract drafting and product development to regulatory implementation and day-to-day problem solving. My team spans across the Nordics, so aligning on legal matters is part of my daily rhythm. As a member of Nordea Group Legal, I’m fortunate to collaborate with a large network of lawyers and continuously learn more about what it takes to run the largest bank in the Nordics.
