About Julia Kalika

Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.” As a young professional I am so excited to be continuously exploring a world of opportunity! My undergraduate degree in Animal Science and Management (Business) from UC Davis prepared me well for success in animal agriculture and “Ag”vocacy. As a student I was involved in numerous clubs and organizations (see “Accomplishments” below) that put animals and agriculture at the forefront and I have continued that trend in my professional career. I had a 6 year professional stint at University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources as an Event Specialist, which provided me with ample connections and insight into the incredible research and outreach that the university provides to Californians in the realm of agricultural advancement. I recently transitioned back to a role with UC Davis at the School of Veterinary Medicine as their Alumni Outreach and Communications Coordinator and am beyond excited to make more connections with alumni and external partners. I aspire to be a positive influencer in the animal and agriculture communities and am always interested in finding a ways to fulfill that goal. I have a passion for all things horses and cattle, a love for rodeo, and find joy in educating people about the agriculture industry. Above all, I am a beginner to adulthood and ready to see where life leads me (hopefully to an enjoyable career and a happy heart).
