About Julia Kaye

As a dedicated Program Manager at Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, I leverage my expertise to oversee and enhance community-based health, nutrition, and child safety services for low-income youth and families. With a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Michigan, specializing in Sociology of Health and Medicine, I possess a profound understanding of the social determinants of health, empowering me to address the unique challenges faced by marginalized communities with empathy and insight. My commitment to child safety is underscored by my continued certification as a Child Passenger Safety Technician from Safe Kids Worldwide, enabling me to provide education and support in the proper installation of car seats for families in need. Some of my achievements include securing grants and partnerships with the Michigan Department of Education, United Way of Southeastern Michigan, Blue Cross Complete of Michigan, No Kid Hungry, Michigan Fitness Foundation, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Toyota, as well as many others. Through these collaborations, I have driven initiatives that positively impact the lives of those we serve, reflecting my dedication to creating lasting change and fostering healthier, safer communities.
