About Julia Keiper

My name is Julia Keiper and I was a double major in communications and media, and inclusive early childhood/childhood education at Nazareth College. From a young age I knew that I liked to work with others. As I grew up my passion for with others became more specific to working with children. I decided that becoming an educator was a perfect fit for my passion. I love seeing the children I’m working with grow and sharing connects with each of them. My experience in the program at Nazareth has only enhanced my desire to become a teacher, along with giving me the proper tools for being successful in the classroom. As an educator I believe that I have the power to positively influence every student who enters my classroom. Shaping and teaching them to one day become well-rounded adults. In my experience I have loved that times where I can be teaching and be having fun with my class, all while learning. This is the atmosphere that I wish to create in my future classroom. Currently teaching in the Buffalo Public Schools in a 5th grade special education classroom. I am also an Americorp member with Teach for America Buffalo.
