About Julia Kemple-Johnson

As a J.D. candidate at the Michigan State College of Law, I am passionate about privacy and tech law and how they impact society and individuals. I have learned to code in five languages and wrote my senior thesis on the evolution of the right to privacy in the US and EU.I have gained valuable experience in the legal industry and government through my internships and research positions. At Airbnb, I handled various product, marketing, and IP issues, working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. At Emendata, I assisted the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services with administrative action research, fraud tracking and classification, and data analysis.I am also committed to community service and volunteering, especially when it makes the legal community more accessible and inclusive. I coach the Michigan State Mock Trial program, where I educate students on the fundamentals of law and legal practice. I have also participated in expungement and name change clinics, providing legal services to disadvantaged communities. I have received multiple awards for my outstanding service and mock trial performance.
