I am an island girl and my element is water. Due to the island location, I had to move already with 15years to the mainland having the option to go to high school. I am the only one in my whole wider family, who is not self-employed, instead working in a great corporate company. I am a highly passionate, open-minded and curious person leading with empathy, trust and freedom by having a holistic business perspective and a broad local experience in different marketing, sales and general management functions. I am Julia Kossmann, currently on parental leave, former Head of Business Unit Health Care (Plaster brand Hansaplast & ABC) for Germany & Switzerland. As part of my career I had the chance of working in the Sales department for NIVEA in Germany and before for L'Oréal in different functions in the German local Marketing department. Due to my wide experience, which I have gained in the last years, I bring a unique and broad expertise to my current role: Driving strategic decisions and exploring new business opportunities with an entrepreneurial leadership way. Due to my passion in team sports, I have done professionally in my younger years, I believe that teamwork with trust, courage, dedication and responsibility are key to build a great team and succeed. Therefore my passion is to grow and empower individuals & teams by inspiring, challenging and coaching professionals to reach their full potential. I believe in open communication and connection with diverse individuals making the difference for being successful and building meaningful and collaborative relationships. Throughout my life one key value (next to trust & courage) freedom has been formed. I believe that there is a choice, what is possible and therefore shaping the business and personal life proactively to make a difference and impact. Additionally, as an entrepreneurial leader and team player, I work with pride in a purpose driven skin care company like Beiersdorf. With meaningful and innovative products. As a a mother of two I know, how challenging it is to handle and balance career and motherhood. My partner and I are equally managing the daily care and household work. Therefore I believe in equal relationships to create an inclusive environment for working parents.
