About Julia Langlois

Julia is a partner, producer and Head of drama at Trio Orange. She most recently produced Empathy, created by actress and writer Florence Longpré, winner of the Audience Award at Séries Mania 2025, and Who Almost Killed Melody, a deliciously twisty whodunit. Known for her ability to uncover unique and authentic stories, Julia previously brought to life Can You Hear Me?(M’entends-tu?)(available in over 190 countries on Netflix), a powerful dramedy which received Le Prix des Lycéens for Best Comedy at Séries Mania and Best Drama Series: Non-English Language at the Rockie Awards in Banff. She also produced Le temps des framboises, the first TV series from Oscar-nominated director Philippe Falardeau, selected at Berlinale and Séries Mania, and winner at the Seoul International Drama Awards and the Geneva International Film Festival. On the international level, Julia creates co-production partnerships. Due to her strong presence at festivals, she has been invited to participate in numerous panels, including at Content London and the Banff World Media Festival. Julia is also actively involved in the television industry as a member of the International Emmy Awards. Julia works closely with writers and creators. She believes in the importance of developing projects that are authentic and diverse, grounded in universal values—stories that can spark the imagination of Canadian audiences while also standing out on the international stage.
