About Julia Loder-Gharib

As a passionate hobby harpist, I contribute to the joint overall sound in orchestras but I am also center stage in ambitious solo performances. My curiosity, openness and commitment lead me to ever new situations which I adapt to easily due to my empathy and learning ability. I love new challenges and value appreciative teams and learning environments. Taking (at least trying to take) an holistic, interdisciplinary perspective is important to me. Thematically, I am particularly interested in renewable energy, sustainability and mobility. I did my PhD at the intersection of businesses and politics in decarbonizing the economy. Currently, my focus and passion are on enabling flexibility for a renewables-based, future-oriented energy system. Wholeheartedly, I am an optimist -) For change to happen, I believe that the attitude is key: Like Michael Jackson sang in his song "Man in the mirror":"If you wanna make the world a better place / Take a look at yourself and then make that change" I am very grateful for the chances I got through my fellowships with Stiftung Nagelschneider (March 2023 to May 2024) and Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft (sdw; 2018-2020). Proudly, I am a member of the sdw Alumni club.
