About Julia Lottmann

I was born in Rostock in 1986. In 2007 I completed my training as a certified graphic designer at the Carl-Hofer School in Karlsruhe and was employed by gkk DialogGroup in the same year. I started as an Art Assistant and became a Junior Art Director quickly after that. From 2010 to 2015 I studied at the University of Arts & Design Offenbach am Main. My main courses were communication design with Prof. Klaus Hesse, Prof. Eike König and Prof. Sascha Lobe as well as Experimental Spatial Concepts with Prof. Heiner Blum. During my studies and ever since then, I’ve been working as a freelance Art Director and Designer for galleries, newspapers or agencies. In 2018 I started working for the brand design agency Peter Schmidt Group. A focus on conception leads my path of work. One of my strengths is to see the needs of each project in a different perspective in order to find an innovative and customized solution. I was nominated for the Red Dot Award and also the Cresta International Advertising Awards, where I was a finalist in the Ambient Media category. At the New York Festivals, I won the bronze prize. Furthermore I was honoured in the outdoor category by the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
