She has extensive experience in forensic services and litigation support including complex risk assessments, public corruption, misappropriation of assets and fraudulent financial reporting in a variety of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, real estate, IT consulting, government, and not-for-profit. She performs valuations for transactions, litigation, restructuring, marital dissolutions and income tax-related purposes. Julia has testified as an expert witness in cases involving fraud, business valuation, business damages, and breach of fiduciary duty, including a million-dollar embezzlement. She has assisted in a multimillion-dollar public corruption case and testified before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice relating to her assistance on a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)/Anti-Bribery & Corruption investigation. After seven years serving as city treasurer for Pleasant Valley, Missouri, Julia was elected to the City Council from 2008 - 2010. She remains active in her local community, is a member of the Young Leaders Society of the United Way of Greater Kansas City United Way, and sits on the triathlon committee for WIN for KC. Julia frequently lectures at regional conferences and other business group meetings. Julia is a graduate of Truman State University, Kirksville, Missouri, with a B.S. degree in accounting.
