I've worked in the behavioral health field since 2014. Starting with an internship at Aurora Mental Health Centers doing assessments on children experiencing PTSD. Straight out of my undergraduate I began working at Excelsior Youth Center, where I gained more experience working with adolescents while doing community outreach. I began to realize that most of my work was with children and adolescents, I wanted to change the demographic so I applied to Community Reach Center at one of their residential facilities. Denver Health was the most recent large organization that I worked with where I did cardiovascular testing for a grant-funded program. During this time I was going to school for a master's in counseling and completed my internship with Servicios De La Raza.
