About Julia McConnell
I was born in Louisiana from an American father and a French mother. I’m a linguist and earned my degree in International Studies with a focus in anthropology & communication. After living and working in the UAE for 3 years, I decided to pursue my childhood passion for arts and creativity. Being bicultural, for a long time, was a handicap as I never felt that I really belonged in either of my countries. I realized that just as I may feel that I belong nowhere, I belong everywhere; and my creativity is the key to understanding all sorts of normalcy. That’s why I do what I do. I combine my knowledge and understanding of the anthropological perspective with my creativity so that I can help a brand communicate with more than just words. I have an eye for what looks good and an ability to balance it with what works!
